@GypsyHawk – You’re on the right path with your thinking. A variety of well-targeted websites can help you generate ad income pretty easily. The challenge is finding niche interests that are not already filled with sites like that.
I suggest looking at your own interests to find niches that aren’t built out already online, then checking those interests against some keyword research, so you can get started.

I’m a writer. I’ve never been good with selling products, although I want to get into some type of business online to generate an income. Having my own site with some kind of info and selling ad space sounds great to me, and I’d like to run with that. I calculate that I could have many different sites on different subjects with several banners on each and reap a good income from that. What do you think, Scottfox1? If you think it can be lucrative, can you point me on more insightful paths?

adsense is fraud. They close your account when you have made a desent amount of money. And steals your money, happend to me two times
Never heard of either of those services. Adsense is the market leader and I recommend that folks use them to make sure they get paid reliably.

Adsense is a joke, advertise with Banners Broker or Ricochet Riches they even pay you to advertise your banners online. Don’t let Google steal your money.

I want to start selling banners adds on my site AllTheFunIn1 it is a family based website. We provide mobile entertainment to company picnics,church’s,back yard parties and everything in between! I do not know how to go about to market to clients? I was thinking local doctors,day cares,restaurants etc. should benefit from my site. For 2010 it reached 232,000 unique hits,pages views are over 9 million page views. I wish for products to sell as well! Please Reply!
That depends on how factors like how much traffic your site has, how closely the ads match the interests of your audience, and how much you have spent to attract those site visitors. You can easily make nothing, of course, but the revenues (and profits) rise quickly once you have a solid base of traffic to show the banners.
