**READ ME** Just sharing my thoughts on companies paying bloggervloggers, sponsored reviews, and viewer expectations. To clarifyexpand on a few points… 1) When I said viewers dont want to contribute, I didnt mean with money. I meant not sharing their own opinions of products, participating in discussions, etc. There are some people who only comment on videos to request something, and thats fine, but it doesnt exactly lend to two way communication. 2) Another thing that bloggersvloggers need to be weary of is third party companies who will use your subbie numbers or influence to generate ad revenue or charges companies to send products out to their networks, and youll never see a dime. IMO, its a bit "interesting" to charge a company for a review but have the vlogger do it and not pay them anything. 3) People, IMO, should use their own metrics for success with their blog and YouTube. Not everyone wants to be a brand, be on TV, be famous, start their own line, grow long hair, sit on their couch and talk about hair, expand to beauty, etc. Not to say these opportunities wont come, or that people cant change their minds, but if that is not ones goal, then it cant be their metric of success. Blogs, channels, and people can absolutely grow though, and I dont think there is anything wrong with it. 4) Personally, I never started my blog to make money.
