2012 is brewing to be a perfect storm for mobile affiliates. Millionnaires will be made, here are 3 reasons why affiliate marketing is going to blow up in a big way.
Supply outgrowing demand – While traffic sources like search, and to some degree social have stagnated, mobile is growing fueled by smart phone adoption and faster mobile data transfers. Fortunately for us affiliates this means traffic will remain cheap while big brands and agencies struggle to make sense of mobile.Opportunities galore – If you’re a copy cat affiliate you’re going to miss the boat on this one. Affiliates who get creative will stand to profit handsomely. Some opportunities include tracking, traffic sources, app development, and more arbitrage opportunities than even a black hat could dream of.Fragmented traffic – Unlike search (dominated by google) or social (dominated by Facebook) mobile is still very fragmented with dozens of self serve ad networks. In addition there is a ton of different ad types out there including display, push, interstitials, incentivized, and more!If you’re still sitting on the sidelines you are going to miss out, so start spending money now and learn the ropes ASAP.
